Imagine the lifter every coach sees by week six. Working loads grind at the top set. Sleep is slightly off. Soreness lingers past forty-eight hours. Motivation creeps down. Joints feel different than muscles feel. The lifter walks into the gym on deload week, says "I feel fine," and skips it. By week eight, missed reps. By week ten, full plateau requiring two weeks of remediation instead of one.

This is the canonical strength-programme failure, and it is almost entirely preventable.
